Hewwo! - My little Sweet William -
Guess I will have to repaint my little Green Dragon a more somber color - No less than ten people whistled at me today - several honked, etc. - I never know whether I know them or not till I look and then I feel silly. Oh well - that's the price for being conspicuous I guess -
I saw B. Burns for a minute last night - she wants me to drive to Portland - but I think I'll still take the train
Got a letter from Harkie
Am studying, in a way, for my midterm and will take it tomorrow - Certainly feel ambitious - Finally finished lesson 8 last night - and wrote 4 letters - Dr. Stanard says I should be all well in a day or two -
There are about three or four things I would like to do - or have to do - the rest is up to you -
Here they are: -
Have my dress fitted -
Go to that breakfast Sunday morning
Visit Aunt Edna a little while
And be with you --
Here it's only Tuesday and it seems like it should be Friday (Wiush it were) -
Do you like cookies and things to nibble on? - One of these days I might get in a domestic mood and whip up somepin good to eat to send you - In fact, think it's a pretty good idea - or do you? -
Did you and Tony have a good time - I missed him Monday night when I went up to mail my letters -
Have decided to start knitting again or start a needlepoint - I do a lot of just sitting and might as well be doing something useful -
P.S. Happy Birthday next Sunday -
Lots & lots of love
Dotty
(ed. note: then there is a bunch of short hand characters)

I have a friend who actually knows shorthand! If you can scan, I can send to her, and she can translate.
Already scanned - but she wrote that letter on really thin paper, so it shows through from the other side. You can look at it and see, but I think it's too faint and too much interference from the other side. But give her the link and see if she can read it. That would be fun. Then she can just post it here as a comment.
