Hello, sweet -
All I have to say is - three weeks is much too long - I don't see how I can wait till next Saturday - golly, I want to see you so much - are you missing me too I hope -
Just got back from jack McGirr's wedding reception - it was good fun except that Jack didn't know whether he was coming or going - wonder if I'll be like that - I bought them a cute little wooden tray - which reminds me, I guess I better put them on my list -
How does it feel being a lady of leisure now that you have withdrawn from school and all that - studying isn't much fun when your heart isn't in it -
Didn't play golf this afternoon - isn't that awful - but Von and I are going out in the morning - if it doesn't rain too hard -
Guess what, dear - in the course of my wanderings down town this afternoon I purchased a new suit, also a necktie - sure beats my budget too - guess I'll have to start saving next month now - oh yes, the suit is blue with a number of pretty little stripes in it - I think - I don't exactly remember what it looks like now myself - will find out after I get it Monday - it is now being altered - seems like my waist is too small for my shoulders - the necktie is mostly red with some blue and yellow in it - now, if I were only good looking - I'd be pretty smooth with that outfit -
Please forgive me for not writing last night - I have been doing pretty well the last couple of weeks though, don't you think - Anyway, the banquet lasted later than I thought it would - it was lots of fun - I was rather surprised to find my place-card at the speaker's table, which was quite an honor considering there were about 65 present, most of them rather important people around the Medical School -
Have been referring to the calendar quite often the last few days figuring out the best days for events to happen on - I wish this would be about April now - Last night for some reason or other I couldn't sleep, but I didn't mind much on account of I was thinking of you and weddings and stuff - and there always seems to be something new to think of - it's sure fun -
Don't you think I have been pretty sweet - haven't even mentioned any nurses in my last 15 letters - but I just don't have the slightest desire to take out anyone but you - I only wish we wouldn't have to wait two or three weeks between dates -

Miss Me? - Only one week till I see you -
Just got thru going on a nice long ride in Jesabel - went out the Alder street road or rather Hilyard - clear out past the old Moxley ranch and onto the Pacific Highway and then thru Goshen into Eugene - and got a gallon of cider - it's good too - now I'm bored again - Have started to knit some mittens but am afraid I am going to run out of yarn -
The sun is shining and it is a very lovely day - Do you know it would be very wonderful if you could and would come down Friday night - The other day Celorie said that we could have every other Sat. morning off because of the 40 hour week and I'm sure going to take him up on it - Then I can come to Portland sometime on a Friday - and even visit the stores on Sat. - Wouldn't that be fun - We finished work at 12:00 Sat. - which shows it can be done -
Guess what?! Finally after all these years we have a new radio - a little Philco but we can get everything on it-
Sat. I am going to take you down and show you some glassware - I think they are the ones I like best but I want your opinion too - It's awful hard to tell - H.G. said she would love to be a bridesmaid or attendant or something - all depending - and if she were still here -
Now we are listening to "the Shadow" - And it's kinda spooky -
Hello again - it's later in the day and I'm glad that this dopey Sunday is almost over - Hell - I'm sure tired of sittin around - and if this week doesn't go by faster than today has I'll just die -
Boy oh Boy this house is sure a mess - and I haven't even looked at a book - I can buy my typewriter all right so I won't exactly be wasting the rent money - But it'll just be something extra to lug around -
Forgive me, dear for this awful letter but I'm sure getting into a rut - but I love you -
