I really am awful sorry cause I didn't write last night - and I hope you'll forgive me - Went to see Helengray last night for a little and when I got home had a pretty bad headache - Helen & I talked all about the wedding so you see I was thinking about you all the time - She likes the idea - and I think everything is going to work out fine - Even tho we only wear suits it is proper to invite everyone to the wedding and then have a small reception for the family and close friends - That way it should work out better - I am getting more and more excited about it all the time - and, gosh, guess it won't be long --
Got a real nice letter from Aunt Edna today - She wants to know the date and all about it - She is going to be in Wheeler again for a month - So guess I'll write and tell her instead of waiting until Feb. 1 - She said she has sheets for us and table linen and blankets - so - I know we can get along all right -
Will go down one of these days and look at dishes and then some other time and look at the silverware - For everyday dishes we can get pottery like we got for Marge - Do you like them? -
We are not busy at the office and I still don't like it - The time sure goes slow - There's a pretty rainbow toward the East - The sun has been shining a lot today with an occasional shower - just like spring - Am glad you got home O.K. - cause I do worry about you a little - Also it's keen about the pennies - will start on the aprons reall quick like one of these days -
Will call Carl about the tie - just now did but he's gone to the bank - however left a call for him -
I sure hope the next 3 weeks go by awful, awful fast -

Guess the mails are slow, I hope - on account of I didn't get a letter from you today - but then maybe I'll get 2 tomorrow -
Am going ice-skating tonite to keep up on my exercise, but tonite looks like the last free nite this week, and I think I'll be working late the rest of the evenings for a week or so - I am preparing a mass of charts, graphs, statistics etc. to support our budgetary requests to the legislature and we need them as soon as possible - I think by the time Easter Sunday comes around, I'll have earned at least a week's vacation in overtime - but I don't mind -
I have figured out definitely that we should live on Marquam Hill if we can find a nice little apartment up there - so I'll kind of look around between now and the 1st and when you come up we will see what we can find - There are lots of apartments on the hill but it's pretty hard to find one vacant when you need it - maybe if we put in our reservation a couple of months in advance it should help -
Have had a slight headache all day yesterday and today and my eyes don't feel too sharp - although they told me today that they were improving - but I doubt it - anyway outside of that I am really in pretty good shape -
I am anxious to know whether you have decided on a big or little wedding or what yet - guess we never did settle that, did we - but you figure it out and it will be OK with me - that's one of the things I promised to let you take care of - remember -
Mr. Couch has been telling people I am getting married along about April - do you mind - so maybe by the time you come up lots more people will know about it -
