Hello, My Sweet---
Missed your letter this noon, but hope the mails were just slow. I need it to pep me up--I'm in one of my down in the mood dumps and don't want to be. Will be glad to have you here to cheer me up this weekend.
Am going to the Alum meeting tonight--don't know what it will be like, but it will be better than staying home. Helengray has a real nice room--I went down there for a while last night, and we talked and talked. We didn't go to the show afterall, but maybe I can talk Billings or someone into going later. It is on till Friday at the Mac--and it is a good show isn't it?
Have you found out anything yet about what date we can set? Easter comes on April 13 and that might be a good time. The church would already have lots of flowers in it, and it would be the beginning of spring, etc. I've got a long list of things to do in Portland--and if you have any money saved up that you don't and won't need, why we could maybe buy something nice with it too--anyway see what you can do.
Gosh it's only Wednesday and it seems like a whole year has gone by since the first. Honestly, the time sure does go by slow. Wish it would hurry up.
And, again, my dear, I have nothing more to say. Do you still love me?

Hello, dear -
Well, have it all figured out as far as a date is concerned - saw Mr. Couch today and we had quite a chat - I started out by telling him I was going to get married this spring and he said "Great - more power to you" -- Anyway, it doesn't look as though I can get any time off until April - so it looks as though the date is either April 12 or April 13 - Does that meet with your approval - I hope - I only wish it could be sooner -
However, there's no doubt that March is going to be a pretty busy month at the office, and I couldn't very well ask for any time off then - It's going to take quite a while to get the Medical School budget whipped into shape and Mr. Couch wants me to take charge of it, so he thought I ought to stick around until after the first week in April -
Didn't ask for any specific number of days vacation, but am sure I can take at least a week off -- maybe more --
Can't wait to see you this weekend - by gosh, I'm really getting so I think about you and us practically all the time, even when I am working - or when I'm supposed to be working - but it's great fun -
Think April might be a better month than March anyway, on account of I'll have more money then - just got my income tax blanks and a rough estimate shows that I've got about $43 of tax to pay in March, although I might decide to pay it in installments -
Have you figured out yet when and how you are going to tell Celorie you are going to quit - from what I gather, you are just going to have lots of fun telling him - guess you better wait a month or so though - April 1 is almost 3 months away yet, darn it -
Went up to your Aunt Vesta's this noon and got Paul's ice-skates - they seem to be a little small but I might try them once anyway - guess my feet are just too big - Was going to go skating tonite - but feel a little too lazy so I'll just stay here and do a little reading -
Think we are going to have a lot of fun in Eugene this weekend, what with seeing you and the basketball game both - although it would still be fun without the game - I think I have a couple of passengers already too which will help - now we can go to the dance after the game too -
Hope the change in date won't affect any of your plans too much - anyway figure it out and we'll get it settled Saturday -
