Hello, sweet -
Well here it is the day after again - and I sure feel sleepy - Had a nice trip up last night, and the weather was swell - cold and clear all the way - Paul slept most of the way -
Anyway, I hated to get up out of bed at 6:30 this morning - practically froze to death and almost resorted to using an ice-pick to get the ice off my windshield - last night was the coldest in Portland since Jan 25 of last year -
Went down at noon and paid a few of my creditors off - December was really a bad month for me as far as spending money was concerned, but it was fun - but three weekends within the space of one week was a bit too much - have to get back to normal again -
Have figured out that I can't wait to see you again - so I'll probably be down the 11th - are you glad - then we can see the
My eyes must be a little better - they didn't bother me at all last night and they're all right today - so maybe the treatments are doing some good -
As soon as I mail this letter I am coming back and go to bed and really sleep, I hope - and maybe dream a sweet dream or two of you -
Love,
Bill

Paul was born in September 1908 so he would have been 32 years old. Still living with Mom. Soon he will be in the Navy. Maybe he got drafted, but no one has mentioned that.
